The real Dodge City of the 1870s was a unique phenomenon in the history of the United States. This cow town sprang up virtually overnight and captured the essence of life in the expanding American Southwest. The Old West Festival will be modeled on the layout of the historic Dodge City with the streets and buildings named accordingly.
The next scheduled student day for The Old West Festival will be in the 2011 season. We still encourage schools and homeschools to partake in this fun learning experience. Group discounts are available for student groups when the tickets are purchased in advance for school groups. Education materials are available to download below. For details please email us at

Craft Application
We are a Juried Show. We highly encourage products to represent those available in the late 1800’s American West. We expect all items sold to our patrons to be traditional or original in design, functionally appropriate, durable, well made, and guaranteed by their maker to be satisfactory to the customer. We are accepting crafter applications for the 2010 season. Please contact us with all your craft questions.

Jail and Bail
Tell the local Sheriff you want someone arrested. They will trump up a keepsake warrant and throw 'em in the pokey. Proceeds go to a different charity everyday.
